Do you suffer from excessive sweating, wet armpits, and/or sweat stained clothes? Well you are not alone! Excessive sweating is actually quite common. Here are some tips to help you get control of your excessive sweating so you can stay dry for your next activity.

Why You Sweat So Much

First of all, everyone sweats. Sweating is completely healthy and good for you. It’s how your body cools off, removes toxins, and maintains salinity in your body. So don’t sweat too much about sweating.

Did you know that we sweat from up to 5 million sweat glands located all over the body? There are two types of sweat glands on the body: the apocrine glands, which are found mainly in the armpit area and the eccrine glands, which are found all over the body. Apocrine glands develop in areas abundant in hair follicles, such as your armpits and they contribute to the odor component to sweat. The apocrine sweat glands produce sweat that is thicker and contains much of what bacteria feeds on as it’s secreted. The eccrine glands are the glands that are responsible for the secretion of sweat on the skin to lower the body temperature.

Since most of your apocrine glands are concentrated in your armpit area is why you only put deodorant or antiperspirant under your arms and not all over your body. Your Eccrine glands, on the other hand, fire off when your body needs to cool down. Most of the wetness you feel when you work out or when you’re in a hot environment comes from the eccrine glands, but the there is much less odor. Here are a few of the main contributors for excessive sweating:

1) Exercise: Anyone can develop excessive sweating during a workout. Excessive amounts of sweat during exercise develop when your body temperature rises. The eccrine sweat glands then release the body’s fluid to cool down your body temperature.

2) Hyperhidrosis: Hyperhidrosis is a condition that affects 1-3% of the population and involves excessive sweat in the palms, underarms, feet, and groin. People with Hyperhidrosis produce several times more sweat that normal.

3) Nervousness: Emotional stress causes a reaction from your sympathetic nervous system, which affects the eccrine glands on your body. This is part of the body’s unconscious protection process, also known as the fight or flight response.

4) Emotions: Strong emotions (anger, excitement, stress, etc.) can also activate your sweat glands. Similar to the way being nervous makes you sweat, strong positive feeling can

Although there are many other factors that can increase your sweating, these are the main contributors for excessive sweat.

Avoid Over-Sweating

Antiperspirants and deodorants can be helpful when it comes to sweat problems. However, they aren’t always 100% effective. Consider putting on antiperspirant on before you go to bed, if you struggle with wetness. If you body odor is a problem, deodorant will help to kill the smelly bacteria that feeds off of your sweat byproducts and make you smell nice.

In addition to using, antiperspirant and deodorant, you may want to avoid certain types of food. Consider reducing your coffee intake and avoiding spicy foods, if possible. Studies indicate that caffeine causes you to sweat more because it has an effect on your central nervous system. Drinking it hot will raise your body temperature as well. Similarly, spicy foods have an effect on your central nervous system, contributing to physical reactions of heat, including sweating and flushing.

To avoid sweating, find a way to better deal with your stress and anxiety. If you feel like you sweat way more than other people, a visit with your doctor might help you find a solution.

Keep Your Body Odor Under Control

Excessive sweat usually leads to body odor, but there are ways to keep it under control.

1) Wear a good deodorant. Deodorant not only covers up body odor with pleasant smells, it also contains alcohol to kill the bacteria that’s causing those unfortunate scents.

2) Use a spray or two of cologne or perfume.

3) Bathe every day with antibacterial soap.

4) Avoid alcohol and foods containing sulfur (Broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and any other plants in the Brassica genus. Plants in the Allium genus, like onions and garlic, can contribute as well).

5) Wear antimicrobial shirts

Dress to Hide Your Sweat

One of the ways you can take control over you sweat issues is to dress to hide your sweat. Wear colors that won’t show stains that badly. Dark colors like black or navy are the best for hiding sweat. Avoid grays, blues, and bright colors. Additionally, certain types of patterns can help you hide glaring wet spots too. You can wear patterns like plaid or camo and sweat won’t stand out. You may also want to wear something underneath your visible clothing, such as a breathable undershirt. A jacket or sweater in a breathable material may work too. Just be careful not to overheat or you’ll worsen the problem. Just remember, the number one priority is to be comfortable in what you’re wearing.

Prevent Sweat Stains on Your Clothes

There are plenty of ways to fight the prevent sweat wet spots. If you have the luxury, prevent any visible sweating from the start with what you wear. Wearing a tank top or any other type of shirt with big armholes is one of the most effective ways to avoid armpit stains. Just be sure to use deodorant to keep the odor under control. Always keeps a change of clothes on hand in case you get too sweaty and you want to switch your clothes. There are also over-the-counter pads you can buy and wear or attach to clothing that will absorb sweat before it gets to your outer layers. To prevent armpit stains, it’s important to plan ahead and consider the activities that you will be taking part in throughout your day.

In conclusion, there are many things you can do to get control of your excessive sweating. However, it’s going to happen no matter what. While excessive sweat can be embarrassing, follow the tips mentioned above and you will likely feel more comfortable or more prepared for excessive sweating.

Chia Seeds: Super Seeds http://singlosport.com/uncategorized/chia-seeds-super-seeds/ http://singlosport.com/uncategorized/chia-seeds-super-seeds/#comments Tue, 02 Sep 2014 03:49:50 +0000 admin http://singlosport.com/?p=1883 Continue Reading]]> Do you remember Chia Pets? Well, the seeds that are used to grow the animal shaped figurine’s sprouts that resemble hair or fur are the very same seeds that are now being consumed by health conscious people all over the world.

Chia seeds are tiny black seeds that come from the plant Salvia Hispanica, which is a member of the mint family. Did you know that chia seeds have been around since ancient times? Chia seeds were a dietary staple for the Aztecs and Mayans, mainly for their ability to provide sustainable energy. In fact, the name “chia” derived from the ancient Mayan word for “strength.”

Despite their ancient history as an important food source, only recently did chia seeds become popular and are now consumed by people all over the world. So, if you aren’t already including chia seeds in your diet, you may want to start doing so!

Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia Seeds Benefits:

Despite their tiny size, chia seeds are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet! They are loaded with fiber, Omega-3 fatty acids, protein and other nutrients.

Chia seeds are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, even more so than flax seeds. Omega- 3 fatty acids help brain function as well as growth. Another benefit is that they do not go rancid, so they can be stored longer than flax seed.

Chia seeds are a “whole grain” food, are usually grown organically, are non-GMO and naturally free of gluten.

Unlike flaxseeds, chia seeds do not have to be ground up to be absorbed by the body and to reap their nutritional benefits.

In addition to their super nutritional value, chia seeds absorb water. In fact, they can absorb seven to twelve times their weight in water, forming a gelatin-like substance. So when you consume chia seeds, they will expand in your stomach, and help you stall full longer. Chia seeds also help with hydration due to their ability to absorb water!

How to eat Chia Seeds:

The seeds themselves taste rather bland, so you can add them to pretty much anything. Just sprinkle into yogurt or cereal or bake into pancakes or muffins. They can be eaten raw, soaked in juice, added to puddings, or added to baked goods.

Chia seeds can also be mixed with water and turned into a gel.

A common dosage recommendation is 20 grams (about 1.5 tablespoons) of chia seeds, twice per day.

  • These tiny seeds contain so much good stuff… not only do they offer a high level of nutrition and support a healthy lifestyle, they aid in weight loss. So, to complement your intense workouts (with Singlo Sport bamboo shirts, of course ;) ) simply add chia seeds to your next recipe or drink!

How To Stay Loose During the Holidays http://singlosport.com/news/how-to-stay-loose-during-the-holidays/ http://singlosport.com/news/how-to-stay-loose-during-the-holidays/#comments Tue, 17 Dec 2013 04:37:10 +0000 admin http://singlosport.com/?p=1867 Continue Reading]]> The holidays are here!

The days are a bit shorter, and the air is a bit cooler outside.

When its colder outside it’s extra important to make sure that you are stretching everyday … especially when you are doing your holiday shopping.

Here are five benefits of stretching …

1) It relieves low back pain

2) It increases your range of motion

3) It improves circulation

4) It increases flexibility

5) It relieves stress.

Stretching is heavily utilized in most comprehensive fitness plans.

Shopping (especially during the holidays) can sometimes feel like a full blown contact sport: Sprinting from the parking spot to all the stores, lugging around huge bags of clothing, waiting in long lines, and reaching for items on high racks.

All of these activities can really take a toll on your body!

In order to make the holiday shopping experience a little more bearable, here are some stretches that can help you stay loose this holiday season.

Still Stretches: These stretches reduce pain and improve your range of motion. Still stretches are the most common of all stretches. Muscles are lengthened gradually and should be held at the end of the movement for a minimum of 20 to 30 seconds. These types of stretches can be particularly useful after spending long hours at the mall.

PNF (Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) Stretches: These type of stretches are targeted to relax muscles and usually need two people to complete the stretch. This type of stretching greatly increases movement around the joints through an isometric muscle contraction followed by an intense stretch.

Energetic Stretches: You should always do some type of engergetic warm up before long shopping days. Simply put, a dynamic warm-up will replicate some of the shopping movements at a lower intensity. Examples include marching like movements, touching your toes, and holding light dumbbells while walking and moving A dynamic stretch should always be done before a long shopping day.

Finally, make sure that you are dressing properly for your shopping excursions. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, comfortable shirts, and preferably supportive sneakers. Light weight, loose fitting clothing will also be a good idea to keep you comfortable shopping throughout the holiday season.

Stay safe, stay fresh, and happy holidays

What is Green Living Ideas you might ask? …

Green Living Ideas (GLI) is part of the Important Media network and covers sustainability topics from every angle across their growing network. They have over a million unique monthly readers actively engaged in sustainability and health issues.

Singlo Sport reached out to GLI in order to have them try some of our Singlo Men’s Crew and Singlo Women’s Scoop bamboo shirts. We were really excited when they gladly accepted, and then put the shirts through a few pretty stiff odor tests right away. These tests included extensive back-to-back runs and hiking trips.

The results?

After the GLI team pushed the bamboo shirts to limit, they were certainly impressed! GLI’s CEO, Scott Cooney (who tested the shirt), mentions “The bottom line is that I’m impressed. The Singlo bamboo shirt has a great athletic cut, moves well, doesn’t stink, and is SOOOO soft. I mean, it is really really soft.”

Bamboo Shirts | 8 Things To Avoid Doing At The Gym http://singlosport.com/blog/bamboo-shirts-8-things-to-avoid-doing-at-the-gym/ http://singlosport.com/blog/bamboo-shirts-8-things-to-avoid-doing-at-the-gym/#comments Mon, 04 Feb 2013 22:15:37 +0000 admin http://singlosport.com/?p=1833 Continue Reading]]> Everyone wants to get in shape at the beginning of the year. People have New Years resolution promises to keep, and the cold weather outside forces most people to bring their workouts indoors. Thus, gym memberships increase by an average of 12% every January, according to the IHRSA (International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association).

The problem is that with the spike in gym memberships comes a lot of bad etiquette.

Here are 8 things that drive most people crazy at the gym. You should try to avoid these mistakes at all costs. If you don’t see yours there make sure to share your frustrations in the comments section below.

  1. #1 Sweat Puddles

Nothing is worse than when you go up to a machine or bench and find that the previous person using the equipment didn’t have the courtesy to wipe off their sweat. It really isn’t too much to ask for people to carry a towel and wipe off the machines after using it. It’s simply an icky feeling lying down in a strangers pool of sweat or picking up a slippery weight. If you forget to bring a towel (and lots of people do) you can always use your shirt or paper towels provided by the gym.

  1. #2 Equipment Hogs

Don’t sit on a machine or bench while you rest between sets. Remember that the gym equipment is meant to be shared. Especially, when it’s really busy! Therefore, be courteous to get up and let others around you “work in” and share the equipment. Also, if you happen to come across the friend make sure not to block the equipment as your chatting away.

  1. #3 Machine Bullies

On the other end of the spectrum of the equipment hogs are the pests who linger by, and are ready to pounce the instant you go over the 30 minute limit on the Stair Master or practically grab the weights off you before you have finished your final set. Remember that the gym is busy and politely wait your turn.

  1. #4 Foul Smells

Body odor simply annoys everyone around. It’s really that simple. People are now starting to realize that some workout shirts are more prone to foul smells than others. Bamboo shirts are becoming a preferred choice among many gym goers since they are extremely soft, breathable, and are great at wicking away moisture. The great thing about Singlo Bamboo Shirts is that our shirts also contain a special light activated odor block technology that gives you continuous protection against odors during your toughest of workouts.

  1. #5 Noisy Neighbors

Nobody wants to hear you bantering away on your cell phone, especially if you’re talking at a really high decibel level. There are no rules that state you can’t answer your phone at the gym. However, in some situations you really shouldn’t be taking on the phone at all. If you’re ever in a class and want to piss off your instructor, answer your phone and start up a conversation.

  1. #6 Locker Room Exhibitionists

No matter how comfortable you are with your body, do everyone else in the locker room a favor a wrap a towel around your waist when you’re walking around. While everyone gets the fact that you must be nude for some period of time while you change, few have any tolerance for the guy or gal they perceive as remaining on display for too long.

  1. #7 Advice Givers

You should really think twice before you start giving advice to random strangers in the gym as not everyone is appreciative of it. Guys, while it may be tempting to show the ladies how it’s done in often cases they just want to be left alone.

  1. #8 Unfit Fashion

Pick sportswear that has minimal branding (i.e. the Nike Swoosh) or no branding at all. These styles are classy, subtle, and will match the rest of your training gear. Loud flashy logos generally look cheesy and make you look like your trying too hard.

Also, don’t be that person that is rocking sunglasses with the Bluetooth headset. This just looks silly.

When you are at the gym make sure that you’re comfortable. You should be able to move freely and have a full range of motion for all of your exercises. Look for fabrics that keep you dry (moisture wicking), breath well, and keep you fresh (stink free). Bamboo shirts are perfect for the gym since they are extremely comfortable, fit well, are highly breathable, and are great at wicking away moisture.

What’s the point?

Believe it or not, there’s more to a gym subscription than paying your monthly dues and showing up regularly. When you are clean, fresh, and respectful you enhance the gym experience for yourself and everyone else around you. If you are looking to stay comfortable, stylish, and fresh at the gym consider bamboo shirts from Singlo Sport. Click here to learn more about these amazing bamboo shirts.

What are your biggest gym pet peeves? Please be specific as possible.

Bamboo Shirts | Major Retailers Penalized for Advertising “Bamboo” http://singlosport.com/blog/bamboo-shirts-major-retailers-penalized-for-advertising-bamboo/ http://singlosport.com/blog/bamboo-shirts-major-retailers-penalized-for-advertising-bamboo/#comments Mon, 07 Jan 2013 06:23:49 +0000 admin http://singlosport.com/?p=1816 Continue Reading]]> Major retailers including Amazon, Macy’s, Kmart, and Sears have all agreed to pay penalties totaling $1M+ as a result of FTC (Federal Trade Commission) charges. The charges are in relation to these retailers labeling and advertising products sold in stores and online as made of “bamboo”, while they actually were made of “rayon.”

The FTC this week sent warning letters over 70 retailers about the misguided use of “bamboo” advertising. Some of the major “warned” retailers include: Wal-Mart, Amazon.com, JCPenney, Bed Bath & Beyond, Barney’s New York, Bloomingdale’s, Sears, Costco Wholesale, Hanes, Isotoner, Jockey, Kmart, Kohl’s, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Overstock.com, QVC, REI, Saks Fifth Avenue, Target, The Gap, Tommy Bahama, Toys R’ Us, and Zappos.com.

Last year, the FTC sued several retailers for advertising rayon as bamboo.

“We need to make sure companies use the correct labeling and marketing in their efforts to appeal to environmentally conscious consumers,” David C. Vladeck, director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, mentioned. “Rayon is rayon, even if bamboo has been used somewhere along the line in the manufacturing process.”

If retailers fail to comply to the FTC regulations, the penalty can be severe: $16,000 per violation.

It’s important to note that Singlo Bamboo shirts are made out of 70% viscose from organic bamboo and 30% organic cotton. Singlo Bamboo promises to be the softest most comfortable shirt you own or your money back.

Bamboo Shirts: 5 Tips For Working Out At The Gym http://singlosport.com/blog/bamboo-shirts-5-tips-for-working-out-at-the-gym/ http://singlosport.com/blog/bamboo-shirts-5-tips-for-working-out-at-the-gym/#comments Mon, 12 Nov 2012 21:21:33 +0000 admin http://singlosport.com/?p=1797 Continue Reading]]> Here are 5 tips to consider when you step into a gym.

  1. Dress For Comfort: When you are at the gym it’s important to be comfortable. You should be able to move freely and have a full range of motion for all of your exercises. Look for fabrics that keep you dry (moisture wicking), breath well, and keep you fresh (stink free). Bamboo shirts are becoming a preferred choice among many gym goers since they are extremely soft, highly breathable, and are great at wicking away moisture.
  2.
  3. Drink Water: Make sure to drink plenty fluids before, during, and after the gym. If you don’t drink enough water you can easily become dehydrated which can lead to fatigue, muscle weakness, and dizziness. How much water should you be drinking? Before workouts: 20oz. During workouts: 4oz. every 10 to 15 minutes. After workouts: Drink enough water to replenish what was lost during exertion (for each pound lost, drink about 16 oz. of water).
  4.
  5. Change Up Your Workouts: Keeping the same workout can lead to workout plateaus. Why? With the repetition of the same type of workout, your body will get used to the exercise routine and will consume less energy. By mixing up your routine, your body will be continually challenged and it will burn more calories.
  6.
  7. Practice Gym Etiquette: Make sure to share, be good to the equipment, and clean up after yourself (i.e. wipe your sweat from the machines and put your weights back on the rack). Also, pay attention to your hygiene and make sure you are showering regularly, changing your workout clothes, and using deodorant. If you are constantly on-the-go consider workout apparel that has anti-odor technology (i.e. bamboo shirts from Singlo). Anti-odor technology will help keep you workout gear smelling fresh during and after workouts. You can even re-use this type of clothing between washings if needed.
  8.
  9. Anything Is Better Than Nothing: When it comes to fitness understand that a little exercise is better than no exercise at all. Even if you only have half an hour to workout it’s better to do that instead of not working all together.

Bamboo Shirts: 3 Tips For Working Out In The Cold http://singlosport.com/blog/bamboo-shirts-3-tips-for-working-out-in-the-cold/ http://singlosport.com/blog/bamboo-shirts-3-tips-for-working-out-in-the-cold/#comments Fri, 09 Nov 2012 19:38:15 +0000 admin http://singlosport.com/?p=1782 Continue Reading]]> It’s getting cold outside, and you want to go for a run or walk. What are you supposed to wear? You obviously want to stay warm. However, you want to be comfortable and light, at the same time, right?

Back in the day, there weren’t many options for winter gear. Your only option was pretty much a sweatshirt and sweatpants. However, these days there are many high tech fabrics that blow traditional cotton material out of the water.

Here are three solid tips to make sure you are dressing appropriately for the cold.

Tip #1: Dress in Layers – The best way to dress for cold weather is to put on multiple layers. Why? If you wear one heavy outer garment you are going to overheat and sweat too much. As a result, this creates wetness and discomfort. Also, research shows that exercising can make you feel 30 degrees warmer than it really is. Thus, wearing several layers gives you the flexibility to adjust your temperature accordingly.

Tip #2: Stay Dry – Staying dry is essential in the winter because it prevents discomfort and muscle tightness. In order to stay dry it’s important to choose fabrics that do a good job of wicking away moisture from your skin. Synthetics are best known for their moisture wicking capabilities. However, the problem with synthetics is that the material is not that comfortable, and is also notorious for odor build up. Many consumers are now switching over to natural fabrics, like bamboo, since these fabrics provide both extreme comfort and moisture wicking capabilities. Nothing feels like a cozy bamboo shirt during the winter time!

Tip #3: Cover up – It’s widely known that it’s important to cover the head, hands, and feet when it’s cold. However, many don’t realize that it’s even more important to do this when working out since exercise pulls blood away from these areas toward your core. Therefore, make sure you bust out the knitted hats (make sure it can fit over your ears), gloves, and socks to prevent heat from escaping through these outlets.

What’s The Point?

Choosing the appropriate clothing for your outdoor winter workouts is important.By dressing in layers, choosing the right fabrics, and covering up areas where heat easily escapes you can have a much more pleasurable workout experience.

Five Reasons Why Bamboo Shirts Are Great For Winter http://singlosport.com/blog/five-reasons-why-bamboo-shirts-are-great-for-winter/ http://singlosport.com/blog/five-reasons-why-bamboo-shirts-are-great-for-winter/#comments Sat, 20 Oct 2012 18:02:04 +0000 admin http://singlosport.com/?p=1768 Continue Reading]]> So it’s almost winter time, and it’s time to start dressing accordingly. Here are five reasons why bamboo shirts are such a great choice for winter.

#1 Bamboo shirts are super comfortable: When it gets colder outside the last think you want to put on for the gym is an uncomfortable synthetic shirt like polyester. Bamboo shirts, on the other hand, are extremely comfortable (4X softer than cotton!) and make working out much more pleasurable. If you have never tried bamboo before it feels like a blend of cashmere and silk. If you were to take a look at a section of bamboo fabric under the microscope you would see that it actually has a nice round smooth surface. That’s why it feels so amazing when it touches your skin.

#2 Bamboo shirts keep you warm: Bamboo is actually “thermal regulating” and is naturally designed to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

#3 Bamboo shirts are antimicrobial: Bamboo is naturally antimicrobial and might be able to prevent you from getting sick. If you’re out at the gym, keep in mind that the gym is an easy place to pick up germs. It’s a good feeling to know that your shirt can protect you from all the nasty stuff out there.

#4 Bamboo shirts are moisture wicking: Bamboo shirts keep you comfortable and dry due to the fact that they wick away moisture so well. The way it works is that the bamboo fabric wicks away sweat from your body which then evaporates – thus keeping you dry. It’s important to also note that bamboo shirts absorb 2X more water than cotton!

#5 Bamboo is highly breathable: Bamboo has excellent breathability due to the fact that the fabric is filled with micro gaps and micro holes. Air passes through these tiny little gaps which allows for better air circulation. As a result, this helps keep you fresh.

What’s the Point?

There are lots of of winter clothing options to choose from. Bamboo shirts have many exciting benefits which is why they are becoming so popular among athletes and casual users. Singlo Sport carefully chose bamboo as its fabric choice for its stay fresh technology SingloTex™. For information on these great shirts click here

Bamboo Shirts: Men’s tips for looking good at the gym http://singlosport.com/blog/bamboo-shirts-mens-tips-for-looking-good-at-the-gym/ http://singlosport.com/blog/bamboo-shirts-mens-tips-for-looking-good-at-the-gym/#comments Fri, 19 Oct 2012 17:16:32 +0000 admin http://singlosport.com/?p=1736 Continue Reading]]> The gym is a social environment where you want to look good. Here are a few dress tips for making sure you do.

Get comfortable

When you’re working out you need clothing that will give you a full range of motion. Therefore, stick to clothing that’s comfortable and fits well (not too baggy and not too tight). Consider bamboo shirts since they are extremely comfortable, and provide a nice athletic fit. If you have a fit body it’s OK to wear t-shirts and tanks on the tighter side. Just make sure to keep it clean and simple.

Some guys might prefer to go with go with a synthetic/polyester fabric. However, keep in mind that sweat easily gets trapped in this kind of fabric. This can cause foul odors rashes. The nice thing about Singlo bamboo shirts is that they are not only naturally antimicrobial from the bamboo, but they are also enhanced with a odor block technology called SingloTex™.

A little matching goes a long way

When it comes to picking combinations of items to wear THINK SIMPLE. Your entire outfit should be 2 two 3 colors max.You can’t go wrong with the following colors: Black, Gray, Earth Tones, and White.

Stay minimal

Pick sportswear that has minimal branding (i.e. the Nike Swoosh) or no branding at all. These styles are classy, subtle and will match the rest of your training gear. Loud flashy logos generally look cheesy and make you look like your trying too hard.

Wear shorts

When you’re doing cardio or leg workouts wear shorts. They give you more range and better breathability. As far as length goes, look for shorts to go just above the knees. Like your tops, make sure to keep it simple with neutral colors, and minimal or no branding. This way you can match with your shoes and shirt. If you’re doing an upper body workout either track pants or shorts is recommended. Certainly avoid jeans since it’s not the most giving fabric.

Shoes

Again, simplicity and comfort are key. Minimize the amount of colors and flashiness, and buy shoes that will serve their purpose. For example, if your running on the treadmill choose a shoe that gives you support in the heel and enough room in the toes. If you’re planning to do aerobics, make sure to find a shoe with enough ankle support for side-to-side exercises.

Keep your socks short

Make sure to choose socks that are thin, cut off at the ankles, and breathe well. Long socks are certainly not in style anymore.

What’s the point?

When picking your clothes for the gym make sure to keep in mind the principles of comfort and simplicity. If you do that, and follow the other recommendations outlined in this post, you can’t go wrong.

Stay Fresh!
